The Rules: Create a recipe using green&black chocolate, five ingredient or less and photo of the prepared dish, as well as a 200-word or less essay that explains your growing taste for organic and how your recipe wows your family and/or friends. Recipe submissions must incorporate at least 2 oz. of Green & Black’s chocolate and demonstrate how the entrant incorporates Green & Black’s chocolate into his/her cooking or baking.
Judging: Five grand prize winning entries will be chosen from all eligible entries. The first round of judging will include scoring both the essay and the recipe on the following criteria. In judging the essays, the judges will assign points based upon the following criteria: relevance to the “growing taste for organic” contest theme (i.e., consumers growing preference for organic food/ingredients) (1-25 points); creative expression (1-15 points); and clarity (1-10 points). In judging the recipes, the judges will assign points based on the following criteria: appearance (1-15 points); creativity (1-20 points); and ease of preparation (1-15 points). For the second, and final, judging round, the top entries, up to 25, will then be prepared and judged on taste (1-100 points).
The Prize: The grand prize winners will receive a trip for two (winner and one guest) to New York City with round-trip coach airfare for two from a major gateway airport nearest to winner’s home, transportation between winner’s home/airport and airport/hotel, accommodations for two (one room, double occupancy) for a three day and two night stay at a hotel selected by Sponsor (including hotel/room rate and related taxes only). Trip must be completed June 7, 2008 through June 9, 2008 or prize will be forfeited.
The Entry: Chocolate Fudge made with chipotle and orange
