This is my street. This is my friend Princess’s car parked on my street. She is parked in one of four rare and valuable free spots. I have been parking in these spots for two years with nary an official reprimand. And yet Princess, on her trek from New Hampshire to California where she will start a new, happy and warmer weather life, got a ticket.I felt like such a shoddy host when we saw that orange envelope on her windshield. Especially since I had forced her to back into the spot from the metered place she had originally settled in. Luckily, Princess has a powerful zoom on her digital camera and we are going to fight the power. Down with meter maids who jump the gun!
