Whole Wheat Splits

The fun has begun. We've got Whole Wheat coming at us from every direction. First up, Unique Splits, four bags in a nice big box delivered by UPS. They are actually quite fantastic. Even the sprouted version, which I admit at first sounded too healthy for my snack-food instincts. But hey, it's a pretzel, those were never going to send me to hell anyway.

Also split, my feelings about the new AMC show, Prisoner. It's totally my thing, trippy, futuristic plot line involving a too-perfect for words village where they eat wraps all day long. The surrealist desert setting is populated by frightened, clean cut people identified by numbers, not names. I love survival scenarios were nothing is as it seems, so I should love this. Problem is, I don't get what's at stake. The show is sort of like Lost (which I kept trying to like, but couldn't)-- too much mystery without any solution in sight.

I'm really giving it my all though. Right now marks the viewing of my fourth episode of the weekend. Rooster calls what I'm doing right now "geeking out." That's where I sit with the computer on my lap, typing, while crap plays in the background. Alas, I am a prisoner of my own bad habits. And I LIKE it!
