I have a new toaster. It’s not a contesting win, but a much better score…my mother-in-law. She has a sixth sense when it comes to house presents. Or maybe not so much a sixth sense as an actual sense. Our old toaster traveled with us from Montana and braved two moves in Chicago. If you want anything resembling golden brown you have to push the toast button down three times.
