I frequently intend to take the bus and end up in a cab. The past two times I’ve abandoned my public transport convictions, I’ve landed in taxis blaring Christian talk radio. The first time, I was with my co-workers. Four professional Jews listening to Jesus. How can you not love that?Today though, I was alone and the radio was cranked up way too loud. I started thinking, what would Jesus do if he didn’t feel like listening to religion on his lunch hour? I live, breathe and program for a religious institution, and I can’t help but feel that even JC Super Star sometimes might want just a little light rock. So I asked the cabbie if he wouldn’t mind turning it down a bit.
Then I asked him to drop me off 2 blocks before the synagogue so he wouldn’t hate me and all my people. Amen.
Smart Ones Fruitastic Recipe Contest
