Mega Mighty Bites

Is it ridiculous that I still insist that this is a contesting blog? If you don’t count the Chicago latke-cook-off, then I haven’t won a thing since June of last year. Of course, Baby Bird is undoubtedly the best prize a Chicken could hope to get her hands on. Unless BB is busy demonstrating her prowess in the diaper department. Then she’s sort of a booby prize.

I came home from work at lunch today to find both my parents hovering over the Bird, who was perched on her changing table. Her onesie was messed. Her t-shirt was messed. The padded cover for her special green chair was crumpled and in the laundry pile. And my poor parents could not figure out how to get her out of her clothes without the mess getting all over her face. I swooped in, thinking I’d show them what a good, competent mother I was. Baby Bird then proceeded to smile and pee all over me and her changing table.

So I guess I learned my lesson. Which is, if someone else is already on diaper patrol, wave hello and go heat up some packaged chicken.
