Food Buzz/Buitoni


This weekend, Rooster and I saw a woman walking and canoodling with a man twice her age. Because of her spandex fake-o jeans and awkward heels, I suggested that perhaps she was a hooker. Rooster, ever on a campaign to make me kinder to strangers, asked how I would feel if someone on the street thought I was a hooker.

Since I was wearing “Not Your Daughter’s Jeans," (a brand for the rounder lady), no make-up, sneakers; was holding a pacifier, and had just finished lecturing him on the importance of layering baby clothing, I told him that there wasn’t much chance of that. But if there was, it seemed pretty clear to both of us that my fee would consist of detailed household tasks to be accomplished right NOW. Also, free spirit and independence.

Rooster, you are handling my micro-management of our new baby-lives with saucy tolerance.

Foodbuzz/Buitoni Pasta Sauce Recipe Contest

The Rules: Entrants must submit a pasta sauce recipe that is served with one of the four (4 ) BUITONI® Riserva pastas. The BUITONI Riserva pastas are as follows: Quattro Formaggi Agnolotti, Wild Mushroom Agnolotti, Chicken & Four Cheese Ravioli and Braised Beef & Sausage Ravioli.

Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged on originality (34%), creativity (33%), and overall appetizing appeal of the dish (33%). In the event of a tie, tied entries will be re-judged on the bases of originality and uniqueness in equal parts.

The Entry: It involves asparagus. Pureed asparagus.
