Inspired by my co-worker who had a baby 6 weeks ago and is already smaller than me in my pre-Baby Bird days, I bought a girdle. And it actually works. The elastic waists on my maternity skirts are way looser now. Yahoo.
Maybe if I wore more than one girdle ala Jen Lancaster in "Such a Pretty Fat," I'd get better results. Or I could just press pause on the donuts...
