BEN & JERRY’S “DO US A FLAVOR” CONTEST

The Rules: Submit a unique flavor name and description in 100 words or less. Five (5) Finalists (One (1) per territory as defined by the Ben & Jerry’s marketing territories: Northeast U.S., Southeast U.S., Central U.S., Southwest/West Coast U.S. and Canada) will be selected according to the following criteria: Creativity — 40%; Flavor Profile — 40%; and Relevance to the Ben & Jerry’s brand — 20%.

The Prize: Five (5) Finalists and one guest per finalist will receive a 4 day/3 night trip for two (2) in October 2006 to participate in a “Flavor Finals” show-down event, where the Grand Prize winner will be determined by a special panel of judges. All Finalists will also be given the opportunity to visit the Ben & Jerry’s Jerry’s Waterbury plant. Approximate Retail Value of Finalist Prize: $2,500.00 US. One (1) Grand Prize winner will have a limited supply of the winning flavor in bulk delivered to the winner’s local Scoop Shop (within 50 miles of winners home) in November 2006 where the winner will be granted a scoop party for winner and 19 guests.

Halvah Cake And Eat It Too

Honey flavored yogurt swirled with cardamom speckled caramel, halvah candy and light lemon cake. It’s a far eastern delight that will make your belly dance!

Sundae in the Park with Georgia Peanuts

Don’t you dare hold the nuts on this impressionist sundae. It’s the Vermonster shrunk down to mini with scoops of your favorite Ben & Jerry’s flavors layered together with gooey fudge, smooth caramel, marshmallow dollops and of course, your favorite peanuts.

Turkish Coffee and Cream
Exceptionally rich espresso ice cream marbled with thick coffee caramel, crunchy chocolate coated espresso beans and smooth white chocolate crema.

Machu Pistachio

Rich pistachio ice cream thickly speckled with crushed pistachios, raspberry ribbon and mountains of gooey chocolate fudge.

Boo-ya Gianduja
Smooth swirls of buttery hazelnut and bittersweet chocolate ice creams ribboned with waves of chocolate fudge and crackles of hazelnut toffee.

"That's Hot" Crossed Cinnamon Buns
Sweet cinnamon ice cream chock full of frosted cinnamon buns, chocolate covered banana chunks and chocolate "x"s, all surrounding a creamy caramel core

Kiss & Nutella
Your heart will beat a little faster when you dive into smooth hazelnut ice cream studded with caramel filled chocolate hearts and ribbons of gooey hazelnut-chocolate nutella.
