Since she has been fine for a full week and the guilt is subsiding, I am ready to confess. Baby Bird fell out of a colander during a contesting photo shoot last weekend. She only hollered for 30 seconds but the incident is sending me straight to Mommy Hell.
I'd like to say that I am not totally at fault-- Aunt Molly was visiting from California, and it was her idea to put BB in the colander. Of course, Aunt Molly wasn't taking photographs while her child was falling backwards on to a wooden table.
I can't bring myself to post the incriminating picture, but I'm sure that the fact that it exists means that I'm destined to ride south in that hand basket.
