Once Rooster started 'entering' contests, he became inundated by recipe spam. He forwards each and every rice newsletter, cornbread coupon, cooking-with-sausage tip-sheet to my attention. “I can only imagine this has something to do with you…” he writes. As in, I have accepted my fate as the husband of this insane woman. Please God, let her give me something nice at dinner as a reward. The Rules: Recipes must use at least one (1) Edwards® product. Members of the Judging Panel will judge eligible entries based on the following criteria: ease of preparation (25%), creativity (25%), originality (25%), and appearance (25%).
The Prize: twelve (12) Semi-Finalists will each receive a $300 gift certificate to Williams-Sonoma. Three (3) Finalists will each receive a three (3) day/two (2) night weekend get-away package for two (2) to Atlanta, Georgia for the Contest Finals. The 1st Place Winner will receive a five (5) day/four (4) night trip for two (2) to New York City.
The Entry: Oreo Milk Shake
Ingredients:
1 box Edwards Oreo Cream Pie Slices (2 slices)
1 pint cookies and cream ice cream
½ cup chocolate milk
12 mini oreo cookies
Directions:
In a blender, combine Edwards Oreo Cream Pie slices, cookies and cream ice cream and chocolate milk until smooth. Pour into 4 tall glasses and place 3 mini oreo cookies on the surface of each milkshake. Serve with a straw!
